Medical examiner rules Lee County inmate's death a homicide

The death certificate of an Ohio man who died shortly after spending time in Lee County jail in late March lists "homicide" as the manner of death and points to stress related to restraint as a cause.

The certificate says that Nicholas Christie, 62, died from injuries sustained March 29 at the Fort Myers jail that were caused by being "restrained and sprayed with pepper spray by law enforcement officers."
