Ex-Lee County Superintendent Browder not among finalists for school post in Tennessee

Jun. 30, 2011

Former Lee County Superintendent James Browder didnít make the cut to the final three candidates for superintendent of Jackson-Madison County Schools in Tennessee.

Browder, who left his job as Lee superintendent to become an administrator at Edison State College, did not receive any votes of support from the nine-member board, which met Thursday night, according to The Jackson Sun.

Board members did not elaborate on the reasons behind Browderís elimination.

Browder interviewed Monday night for the Jackson job, which oversees 28 schools and almost 13,000 students.
