The News-Press seeks readers' education input

Educators are faced with a daunting task – improve student test scores, carry out a new Common Core curriculum, introduce performance pay and new standardized tests, and do it all with less funding.

Their goal is to make students prepared for both college and the workforce.

So we want to know? What are solutions for improving both K-12 and higher education in Southwest Florida?

Should parents be more involved? Do we need longer school days or years? How can local colleges and universities better prepare graduates? Should businesses offer more help and support to schools? Should teachers be paid more?
