Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve

ABOUT IT: This Lee County Conservation 20/20 preserve is divided by I-75 into separate "East" and "West" locations. The EAST preserve features a paved parking area, picnic pavilions, restroom, and a 1.5 mile long ADA-compliant boardwalk and trail system that allows for exploration of wetland, hammock, and pine flatwood ecosystems. The trail system on the WEST side is about a half-mile. Recreation opportunities and amenities include Bird Watching, Hiking (Boardwalk), Hiking (Marked Trails), Nature Study/Photography, and On-leash Pet Walking and free parking on the EAST side of the preserve; all that plus Canoe/Kayak Launch, Canoeing/Kayaking, Fishing and paid parking (Lee County Annual Parking Stickers are accepted) are available on the WEST side.

SPECIAL EVENTS: Guided nature walks of an easy quarter mile are offered on the EAST preserve by Conservation 20/20 volunteers from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on the 2nd Saturday of each month during the winter season (2013: January 12th, February 9th, and March 9th).
