These places should be easier to get into and out of come game day. Fans gotta eat too.
• Asia (6631 Orion Drive, south Fort Myers; 277-7797; sushibyasia.com): Eat like Red Sox pitcher Koji Uehara (well, kind of). Japanese sushi and Thai curries come together here.
• Casa Lupita Cafe (13120 Westlinks Terrace, southeast Fort Myers; 479-5244): Home to my favorite guacamole, this hidden gem serves up excellent tamales, sopas and enchiladas. Call for directions.
• Fat Katz Sports Bistro (10080 Daniels Interstate Court, south Fort Myers; 768-3541; fatkatzsportsbistro.com): After overpriced hot dogs and beer, a scratch-made short-rib quesadilla and craft brew from Fat Katz will feel refreshing.
• Fresh Bagels & More (8911 Daniels Parkway, south Fort Myers; 561-3777; facebook.com/freshbagelsandmore): You can go here only before day games (they close at 2 p.m.), but a house-made bagel with house-made corned beef? Worth it.
• Rincon Quisqueyano (6611 Orion Drive, south Fort Myers; 362-1976; rinconquisqueyano.com): Rincon’s owner said David “Big Papi” Ortiz is a regular. Having sampled their delicious Dominican food, I can taste why.
