The News-Press presents a special live program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The half hour show will be broadcast on from The News-Press' television partner WINK-TV's studios, at 1:30 PM EST — around the time JFK was shot.

Senior Reporter Mary Wozniak will host three former servicemen who served as a body bearer or honor guard members at Kennedy’s funeral. Tim Cheek served in the Marines and was a body bearer. Edward Buff and Francis Hercik served in the Army and Coast Guard honor guards, respectively.

This is the first time the three men have met and sat together to discuss the events of Nov. 22, 1963, and the funeral.

Wozniak penned the six-day series “A Nation Remembers,” which began Sunday and concludes today.
