The Tony Rotino Center has packed the month of February full of fun activities.
Dancing with The Del Prados
Thursday, Feb. 6, 7-10 p.m., $12 per person
Reminisce to the sounds of street-corner harmony sung by those who were there and dance to classic 1950s and ’60s rock ’n’ roll in the Yacht Club Ballroom. Light snacks will be served and soda will be available for purchase. The Del Prados will entertain you the first Thursday of each month through April. BYOB. Preregister or pay at the door.
Friday Night Bingo
Friday, Feb. 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
$10 per person (includes cards for 10 games; each game will play three cards).
Join us for a fun night of bingo at the Rotino Center. The first Friday of every month, participants will get a chance to play bingo and win prizes such as gift certificates to local restaurants. Light refreshments that tie into the theme will be provided. The theme for the month of February is “Mardi Gras Bingo.” Bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Senior Friendship Centers for needy local seniors. Anyone who brings a nonperishable item will be entered into a prize drawing. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 9, Chocolate Fair, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
$1 per person (children 5 and under free); Yacht Club Ballroom
Bring your sweet tooth and come sample and buy some of the finest chocolate and confections that Southwest Florida businesses have to offer. Stock up on your chocolate items for Valentine’s Day. Free door prizes will be given away.
Friday, Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day Luncheon Cruise, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
$50 for members, $55 for non-members
Enjoy a relaxing four-hour cruise on the Caloosahatchee River that includes sightseeing with live narration, buffet lunch, music for dancing and cash bar. Registration fee includes transportation on a charter coach to and from the Rotino Center to the dock, cruise ticket and lunch. Preregistration is required.
Tuesday, Feb. 18, Lunch Concert, noon-2 p.m., $7 per person
Enjoy a hot lunch, followed by a 90-minute concert performed by vocalist Donnie Falknor. Donnie is an easy listening and tribute concert singer who has been performing for more than 30 years. His style of music delivers a combination of Englebert Humperdinck and Jim Reeves. Pre-registration is requested.
Indoor Bazaar, Sunday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Vendor table: $25 for 8-foot table/public entry is free
Purchase table space to sell your wares or shop from a variety of vendors in one place.
Movie Matinee, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2-4 p.m., free
Grab a friend or come solo to the movie of the month. The February movie will be “Last Vegas,” a light-hearted comedy, starring Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline. There will be popcorn, snacks and soft drinks for sale.
Dinner Dance, Friday, Feb. 28, 6-10 p.m., $25 per person
Join us at the Rotino Center Ballroom for an entertaining evening including a full-course dinner catered by Papa Joe’s and live entertainment from Chicago Heat, who will perform Motown, doo-wop and rock-’n’-roll Classics. BYOB. Reservations are required.
