Shoplifting
DATE & TIME: Nov. 14 at 11:41 a.m.
ARRESTED: Contreras, Jose
LOCATION: 175 S. Barfield Drive (Publix Supermarket)
Defendant Jose Contreras was arrested for shoplifting from Publix Supermarket located at 175 S. Barfield Drive. Total estimate value of items stolen and recovered was $97.08. The defendant was transported to the Naples Jail Center.
Arrest
DATE & TIME: Nov. 15 at 1:55 a.m.
ARRESTED: Snyder, William Michael
LOCATION: N. Barfield Drive and San Marco Road
Officers responded to a traffic accident in the area of 1700 blk of San Marco Road. Officers made contact with drivers of both vehicles. After an investigation was completed defendant William Snyder was placed under arrest for driving under the influence with property damage. He was transported to the Naples Jail Center.
Battery / Resisting Officer without violence
DATE & TIME: Nov. 15 at 7:24 p.m.
ARRESTED: Tapscott, Thomas William
LOCATION: 362 Waterleaf Court
Officers responded to a disturbance. Victim Richard Schiller reported that he was assaulted by defendant Thomas Tapscott. After the investigation was completed Tapscott was placed under arrest for battery. After a brief struggle with Officers Tapscott was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Naples Jail Center.
Criminal Mischief
DATE & TIME: Nov. 15 between 9 a.m and 5:15 p.m.
LOCATION: 155 Delbrook Way
Thomas Nestel reported that someone damaged his vehicle while parked at 155 Delbrook Way. Estimated value of damage is approximately $1000.00. Investigation continues.
Criminal Mischief
DATE & TIME: Nov. 16 between noon and 12:20 p.m.
LOCATION: 909 Collier Court (Caxambas Park boat ramp)
Ronald Hagerman reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked at 909 Collier Court, Caxambas park boat ramp. Estimated value of damage is unknown.
Civil Warrant
DATE & TIME: Nov. 13 at 9:27 p.m
ARRESTED: Ellington, Darrel Van
LOCATION: Cushing Lane and Tahiti
Darrel Van Ellington was walking barefoot near Tommie Barfield Elementary. A concerned citizen flagged an officer prompting the officer to speak with Ellington. The officer smelled alcohol on his person and ran a background check. It was revealed that Ellington had a civil warrant for failure to pay child support out of Collier County. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.
