McDonalds' Red Shoe Society fundraiser in Fort Myers: The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida newest division, known as the "Red Shoe Society", hosted it's first fundraising social on Friday, May 17th from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Crowne Plaza in Bell Tower. The event educated other young professions on the purpose of the organization in order to gain new members and fundraising through raffle drawings. The Red Shoe Society's mission is to improve the health and well-being of children and to provide a "home away from home" for families of hospitalized children. StarStruck 2013 gala for American Red Cross: StarStruck 2013, the dance competition and gala benefit for the American Red Cross, was held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point on Saturday, March 23rd. The event included dinner, wine, dancing, competition, and entertainment.

Boston Tee Party event: The Boston Tee Party kicked off the weekend events for the 20th Annual Boston Red Sox Children's Hospital Celebrity Classic on Thursday, February 21at the Forest Country Club. Ticket sales and auction items benefited The Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Hearts of Love Gala in Bonita Springs: The 3rd Annual Hearts of Love Gala was held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 6-11pm at Spring Run at the Brooks in Bonita Springs. Ticket sales and auctions at the event supported Our Mother’s Home. Our Mother’s Home is a long-term residence for up to eight girls from ages 12 to 18, who are pregnant or have children.

American Heart Association Red Tie Society: American Heart Association’s Red Tie Society held their “Party with a Purpose” at Joseph’s Custom Clothiers showroom in The Shoppes at Naples Bay Resort from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5th. The Red Tie Society is a men’s group that advocates for women’s heart health. Joseph’s is the exclusive designer and provider of the Society's custom red ties.

The River District Ramble: The River District Ramble, A Progressive Ladies Night, kicked off on February 2, 2013 at 6:45pm in front of the Blue Dahlia Salon. From 7:00pm through 11:00pm, the ladies of the River District Ramble sold bracelets and t-shirts to downtown patrons to raise money for a 4 year old girl, Emma Garcia, who is battling Leukemia. The bracelets and t-shirts provided access to specials and discounts all over Downtown Ft Myers . Participating establishments included The French Connection, the Spirits Of Bacchus, Yannos, Downtown Pizza, United Cafe, Hideaway Sports Pub, CowBoy Up Saloon, Celsius, Charme Boutique, River District Flowers and Red Door Photography. Each $25 donation for the sale of the bracelets and t-shirts went directly to supporting Emma.

Southwest Florida Museum of History USO-Inspired Gala: The Stars & Stripes Variety Show Gala was held at the Lee County Port Authority Hangar Historic Page Field on Friday, January 25th. This 1940’s USO-style gala featured a Stars & Stripes Variety Show with live music, silent auction, dinner, World War II memorabilia, and vintage aircraft. Proceeds benefited the Southwest Florida Museum of History. Tickets were $75 each.
