    Everglades Wonder Gardens to reopen as botanical garden and museum

    Everglades Wonder Gardens in downtown Bonita Springs will reopen in June as a botanical garden and museum under the operation of internationally recognized photographer John Brady and his family. Gatorland in Orlando, one of Florida’s last remaining roadside attractions, bought more than 70 animals from Everglades Wonder Gardens and transported the first 18 giant gators Tuesday.

    The Bonita Springs City Council voted 6-0 today to award a contract not to exceed $114,802 to Richard Minnick, LLC, to pave Pine Avenue south of Terry Street, Somerset Lane, Melrose Avenue, the west end of Smokey Drive and Jarrow Road.
